Para que entendais lo que esta boda significa para mi debo explicaros ésta gran historia desde el principio, ya que solo así comprenderéis cómo me sentí al poder hacer esta boda y lo especial que es para mi.
Hace algo más de dos años debía realizar mis prácticas de Fotografía Artística y, por diversos problemas, me encontré a dos días de comenzarlas sin lugar donde poder hacerlas. La verdad es que fue por aquel entonces cuando descubrí la fotografía de boda, ya que captaron mi atención y comencé a hacerme preguntas acerca de ésta rama dentro de la fotografía. Leí y escuché una gran cantidad de post en los que se hablaban de diferentes fotógrafos, fue así como descubrí a Sean Flanigan.
Hay un antes y un después para mi desde que vi su trabajo, y es que, algo se despertó en mí, me sirvió como estímulo y como elemento motivador para decidir dedicarme a este mundo, para esforzarme, aprender y mejorar cada día, así que cuando me entere que venia a España a una convención de fotógrafos, BodaF, decidí que debía ir para poder aprender de él, a pesar de que mis ingresos por aquel entonces eran bajos, ya que era camarero en una de las discotecas de mi pueblo.
Finalmente logré ir, asistí a su taller, aprendí de él y, tuve la oportunidad de conocerlo y charlar con él, pero no solo eso, pasó a ser un amigo.
Fue éste junio recibí un email de su pareja Melanie, en el que me solicitaba presupuesto para su boda, y he de reconocer que decir que lo leí varias veces y, como seguía sin creérmelo no hacía más que pasar por el traductor su petición, y no, no estaba mal escrito, querían que fuese el fotógrafo de su boda.
Lloraba como un niño chico porque comprendí que cada caída, cada mal momento había merecido la pena y es que, si luchas, tarde o temprano las cosas salen bien, por que las cosas que son imposibles de repente se vuelven posibles.
Fotógrafo de bodas reconocido en el mundo entero, para mi es el número 1, y ella es la mejor persona que él podría tener a su lado, juntos son un equipo perfecto.
Para ellos Madrid es una cuidad muy importante, ya que justo cuando se conocieron y comenzaron con su relación Sean tuvo que viajar hasta ésta ciudad, así que decidieron organizar su boda en Madrid.
Decidieron que su boda fuese sencilla, ya sabéis, menos es más, y sobre todo cuando se tienen el uno al otro. El plan fue realizar una pequeña ceremonia en la terraza de un ático con unas maravillosas vistas desde el que se podía ver todo Madrid. Como maestro de ceremonias contactaron con un buen amigo, Luis Masyebra, también fotógrafo de bodas en Madrid.
Gracias a Ote, por no permitirme parar en ningún momento y empujarme para que siguiera luchando por mi sueño, además de por confiar en mi siempre, ahora se que juntos somos invencibles.
Ésta es la historia de Melanie & Sean y como una persona que intentaba ser fotógrafo de bodas en Málaga acaba en una de las historias más increíble de su vida.

So that you can begin to understand what this wedding means to me I need to tell you this great story from the beginning. Only then will you understand how I feel about doing this wedding and just how special it is for me.
Just over two years ago I had to do my training as an artistic photographer. Due to various reasons and problems, with just two days to go, I had nowhere to do them!! The truth is that from then onwards I discovered wedding photography as it had caught my attention and interest and so I began investigating this branch of photography. I read and listened to a great deal of comments about various photographers and that is how I discovered Sean Flanigan.
There is a before and after for me since I saw Sean’s work. Something awoke inside me and it acted as a stimulus and a motivator, so much so that I decided to work in this branch of photography, pushing myself, learning and improving everyday. So when I heard that he was coming to Spain for a photographer’s convention – BodaF – I decided that I’d better go so I could learn from him even though my economical situation was very poor at the time as I was a waiter in one of my town’s discos.
Finally I managed to go, assisted his classes and learnt from him and got the chance to know him better and became friends.
It was June this year when I received and e-mail from Sean’s partner Melanie asking me for an estimate for their wedding. I have to admit that I couldn’t believe it and so I read the e-mail several times and I still couldn’t believe it so I translated it again and again and no it wasn’t a mistake – they really wanted me to be their wedding photographer!!!
Well, I cried like a little child because I finally realised that every fall, every bad moment had been worth it because if you keep fighting sooner or later things work out fine and all of a sudden the impossible seems possible.
Melanie and Sean are an enchanting couple, he is a world famous wedding photographer, for me he is number 1, and she is just the very best person that he could have at his side, together the perfect team.For them, Madrid is a very special city, because just as they were getting to know each other and beginning their relationship, Sean had to travel to Madrid, so they decided to organise their wedding in Madrid.
They wanted a very simple wedding, you know, less is more and especially when you have each other. The idea was to organise a small ceremony on the terrace of an attic with wonderful views over the whole of Madrid. For master of ceremonies they got in touch with a good friend, Luis Masyebra, also a wedding photographer in Madrid.
